An Interview with Andrea Wareham, former CHRO of Pret a Manger, with Ruby Sheera from The LCap Group

The LCap Group was invited by PAI Partners to attend their HR Club event in Paris on Friday. The attendees were made up of 30-plus HR professionals from their various portfolio companies. Samuel Robberts Chief Strategy Officer at The LCap provided a presentation of the behavioural dynamic that many of the audience would experience within their portfolio companies, he also talked about the interplay with their exec teams and the insight our data provides into what high-performing teams should look like and how the CHRO can help enable this.

We also had Andrea Wareham, record an interview for the audience where she candidly discusses her insights and experience of being the former CHRO for Pret a Manager, as it went from being a private company, into a Bridgepoint Capital PE-backed portfolio company and then exiting to JAB group in 2018. Over her 23-year journey, Andrea picked up lots of learnings which she shares with us here including what she believes are the three spheres of influence that all PE-backed CHROs should focus on to enable the PE-backed portfolio companies to maximise their value.
